The Green Mile Run/Walk

What’s Green, Full of Fond du Lac Folks and a Mile Long?  It’s the Green Mile Run/Walk presented by Grande Cheese and the Fond du Lac Running Club!  The Green Mile Run/Walk will take place just prior to Holiday Automotive’s presentation of the  St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Main Street in Fond du Lac on Saturday, March 11th at 2:30 pm.

All ages are welcome to join the fun, whether folks want to run, walk, jog or stroll.  Check in for the run/walk begins at 1pm at St. Mary’s Grade School at  63 E. Merrill Avenue in Fond du Lac. Participants will gather at Fives Parking lot for a 2:30pm start.  From there and tread south down Main Street ending near Main Street and Western Avenue by 95+96-1 The Rock Studios.

“It will be a fun path as people will be on the sidewalks waiting for the parade to begin,” says Fond du Lac Running Club President Katie Gellings. “We encourage everyone to register for the first run/walk of the year. Bring your kids in strollers, your dogs and your smiles!.”  Parade coordinator, Terry Davis is excited for this new addition to the St.Patrick’s Day Parade tradition, “this run/walk will have a built-in cheering section from those getting ready to watch the parade.”

Registration is open through March 10th at www.hometowntickets.com.  The event is sponsored by Grande Cheese. An awards ceremony will be held at approximately 3:45pm
