Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Downtown Fond du Lac!

Come for the parade, stay for the food, drinks, and fun!

On Saturday, March 16th the fun begins with the 2024 Green Mile Run/Walk  – a one mile run/walk open to experienced runners as well as families and other community members wishing to run/walk together. Immediately following the Green Mile Run/Walk, enjoy the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade filled with creative and impressive St. Patrick’s themed floats. Then stick around to enjoy tons of great shopping, food and drink specials, live music, green beer, and Irish fare hosted by Downtown Fond du Lac businesses.

The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership urges you to celebrate safely and drink responsibly by designating a sober driver, utilizing the WI Tavern League Safe Ride program (www.tlw.org/saferide/), or booking an Uber, Lyft, or other ride service. 

2024 St. Patrick’s Day Activities

The Green Mile Run/Walk

What’s Green, full of Fondy folks and a mile long?  It’s the Green Mile Run/Walk presented by Burke and the Fond du Lac Running Club!

The Green Mile Run/Walk will take place Saturday, March 16th at 2:30 pm on Main Street in Fond du Lac, just prior to Holiday Automotive’s presentation of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. An awards ceremony will be held at Coliseum Sports Bar & Grill immediately after the parade.

All ages are welcome to join the fun, whether folks want to run, walk, jog or stroll.  Check in for the run/walk begins at 1pm at Hopper’s Screen Printing & Embroidery (77 N. Main St). Participants will gather at Johnson St. and Macy St. for a 2:30pm start.  From there, tread south down Main Street ending near Main Street and Western Avenue by 95+96-1 The Rock Studios.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Fond du Lac St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place Saturday, March 16th at 3:00 p.m. on Main Street from Rees to Western Avenue.  The annual parade is sponsored by Holiday Automotive and coordinated by 95.1 and 96.1 The Rock and Sunny 97.7.  All are encouraged to participate and/or attend this green tradition!

Clubs, businesses and individuals are encouraged to register their parade float entry at www.961therock.com

Winners of the Best Adult Entry receive a $100 gift card and the coveted Irish’s traveling trophy.  Winners of the Best Kids Entry will win $100 cash.
