Free Parking

Visitors to downtown can park for free every day on Main Street, with a two-hour limit. Parking is free throughout the district on evenings and weekends.

Parking Enforcement

Parking limits are enforced from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for metered parking, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Main Street parking. Monday through Friday.

Main Street Parking

On-street parking on Main Street is free, with a 2-hour limit, for customers and clients only. Downtown employees are encouraged to keep Main Street spaces open for customers.

Passport Parking (payment from mobile devices)

Visitors parking in downtown are now able to conduct parking transactions by mobile phone. Register for free by downloading the PassportParking mobile app. Once registered you can use your mobile app, the internet or by calling (920) 545-0685 to pay for parking. You can also receive alerts and reminders 15 minutes before your time expires.

Employee Parking

Downtown employees and frequent visitors find parking permits to be cost-effective and convenient.

  • On-street and public lots have free parking every day after 5 p.m. and on weekends.
  • Public lots are colored in teal on the map below.
  • Bike racks are indicated with a bike icon on the map below.

Meter Stickers

Meter Rates

Meters are set at either 50 cents or 35 cents per hour, depending on location.

35-cent/hr meters are located at:

  • North Macy Street
  • Merrill Avenue
  • Marr Street
  • Portland Street
  • Lot 7

30-Minute Meters

There are 30 minute meters located throughout the downtown for your convenience for quick stops.

Permit Parking

Permits can be purchased at the Fond du Lac City/County Government Center at 160 S. Macy Street or by calling (920) 322-3440.

Parking Ramps

Downtown has two convenient parking ramps with metered and permit parking.
