To emphasize the importance of shopping small and local this holiday season, and all year round, the Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership is making it easy to choose shopping small with the Shop Small Sweepstakes!

Did you know that for every $100 spent at a small local business, $68 stays right here in your community? Shopping Small has a BIG impact!

From November 1st – December 31st every $10 you spend at a Downtown Fond du Lac business earns you an entry to win $500 in downtown gift certificates courtesy of Fox Valley Savings Bank.

The holiday shopping season is an especially busy time, and we encourage you to think of downtown Fond du Lac first. Take advantage of the variety of unique, locally owned businesses offering personalized services and products, and show your support for small businesses in your community!

To enter the sweepstakes:

  1. Shop at any downtown Fond du Lac business between 11/1 and 12/31 and keep all your receipts.
  2. Staple all of your receipts (or copies) to an entry form (Entry forms are available at downtown businesses or click here to download a PDF.).
  3. Drop off, mail, or email your form and receipts to the Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership office located at 131 S. Main Street, Suite 101, or to info@downtownfdl.com.

You will receive one entry for every $10 you spend downtown between November 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024. Sweepstakes entries must be received by January 5, 2025

Downtown Fond du Lac gift certificates are accepted at over 70 businesses.
Winner will be announced in January 2025.

No. Save your receipts all season long and then staple them all to one entry form. We’ll do the math for you and give you one entry for every $10.

Yes! You can submit your receipts as many times as you would like over the course of the entry period, but be sure to read the answer to the next question to understand the details!

If you submit all your receipts on one entry form, then the answer is yes. $30 spent at numerous locations would give you a total of 3 entries. However, if you submit numerous entry forms over the entry period, the math will be done for whatever receipts are attached to each form. For example, if you spend $18 and submit your receipts and an entry form to the DFP on November 30 and then spend $12 and submit those receipts with another entry form on December 30, you will receive one entry from November 30 and one entry from December 30 for a total of two entries, even though you would spent $30 total. Based on the number of entries we receive for this contest, we simply do not have the staffing to merge your entries into one. To avoid this problem, we encourage you to submit all of your receipts with one entry form.

Yes! Also, purchases of Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership gift certificates qualify as well.
