Downtown Fond du Lac Fest-of-Ale

The following email was sent to all Fest-of-Ale ticket holders as of 8 a.m., April 13; if your tickets were purchased as part of a group, the person who ordered the tickets received the email.

Ticketing adjustment: Due to an error on the part of our wristband manufacturer, ticket redemption has been delayed until 2 p.m. today. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

  • Ticket pickup: Tickets may be redeemed at 131 S. Main, Suite 101 anytime after 2 p.m. Each attendee must redeem their ticket in person and show an ID at the time of redemption. WE ID EVERYONE and cannot give you a wristband or glass if you do not have your ID and are not physically present. When your ticket is redeemed your wristband will be placed on your wrist, so servers throughout the event know that your age has been verified and avoiding numerous ID checks throughout the night. You'll also receive your souvenir tasting glass and a map of serving locations and drinks at check-in. VIP ticket holders who have not yet picked up their shirts will be able to pick them up during ticket redemption.
  • Your Wristband: The tabs on your wristband are your drink tickets. Each tab must remain attached until a server removes it. Once a tab is off of your band, it is void so don’t tear them off ahead of time or attempt to give away your unused tabs. Your wristband is good for more than just drink samples! Show your wristband at the following sites to claim some great discounts!
    • The Main Pub: $1 off beverages until midnight FRIDAY ONLY.
    • Victoria’s Pet Nutrition Center: 10% off CBD, 20% off treats, toys, & gifts on Friday & Saturday
    • Cujak’s Wine & Coffee Bar: Saturday ONLY - 10% off your purchase and free wine tasting from SoLu.
  • Parking: Looking for a place to park? Check out the interactive parking map on our website: http://downtownfdl.com/downtown-parking.html Parking is free on the weekends, but meters are checked until 5 p.m. on Fridays, so if you opt for a metered space, be sure to plug the meter to cover your time and avoid a ticket.
  • Plan your path: Find a full list of your tasting options at www.downtownfdl.com/fest-of-ale. Your ticket gets you a flight of 10 drinks, so choose carefully!
  • Rides between sites: From end to end this event will take you less one mile, but if you don’t feel like walking just send a quick text to the Street Pedalers at 920-238-0883 letting them know how many individuals are awaiting pickup and where you are. Each pedi-cab can hold up to two adults and there are three pedicabs on site, so they’ll send their team as quickly as possible. Remember, they may be dropping off other attendees and they are pedaling, not teleporting!
  • Games at sites: Team Brewski versus Team Malternative all night long! Numerous sites along the route will be offering games that allow you to earn points for your team. Ticket holders from the team with the most points (based on percentage of attendees) will be entered into a drawing to win a gift package featuring Slim & Chubby’s swag, Gallery & Frame home décor, and a $10 Downtown Fond du Lac gift certificate. The winner will be notified by on Monday, April 16.
  • Wine Walk: Wine Walk tickets go on sale beginning at 4 p.m. today. Head to www.downtownfdl.com/wine-walk.html to claim your ticket before they’re gone!
  • Other reminders:
    • Event is held rain or shine.
    • Glasses must be empty before leaving each stop.
    • Keep your glass in hand throughout the event or label it with a Sharpie to avoid confusion during the walk.
    • Choose your route in advance to avoid getting separated from your group.
    • Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, since you'll be walking outdoors between locations.
    • If you make purchases during some of the great sales on the route, ask the business about picking up your purchase when you complete the walk or the next day.
    • Be sure to eat lunch during the day to avoid drinking on an empty stomach. Many locations on the route will also have food available to sample or purchase.
    • Post photos to Instagram and Facebook using hashtag #downtownfdl
    • Cross the streets at crosswalks.
    • Bring your ID.
    • Manage your alcohol intake; we reserve the right to refuse serving anyone who appears to be intoxicated.

Got questions? We’ve got answers! Don’t hesitate to reach out to info@downtownfdl.com with questions about the event. See you tonight!
