Thunderhawk Tribe Kirtan

Open Circle Unitarian Universalists
7–9 PM
Open Circle Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (19 3rd)

Come and sing your hearts open at 7pm with the Thunderhawk Tribe on Saturday, April 28th at the Open Circle Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (located at 19 3rd St, Fond du Lac, WI) with Dennis Hawk, Madhuli Bhave, Victoria L. Fuller, Cathy Baumann, Madison's Pete Calgaro on percussion and Milwaukee's Scott Hestekin on violin and mandolin!

Kirtan, which simply means "to sing" is part of a larger movement that is sweeping the globe called Bhakti Yoga. This Bhakti practice of "call and response" of mantras set to music is meditative, heart-opening, and profoundly restorative. It can be a fantastic form of meditation for those with chronic "monkey-mind".

Thunderhawk Tribe Kirtan ties elements of the Native American tradition with Sanskrit of the Vedic tradition--creating a unique world music blend of sound and story.

Folks of all ages (including children) are welcome to attend!
